Complete Guide of Expert AI Android App
What you get with Expert AI
Here is the practical feature list, in plain language. The bold labels use familiar app terms so you can quickly see what is included; the descriptions explain what each one helps you do.
Daily planning and follow-through
- Daily Notes — Keep a dated place for plans, to-dos, journal entries, meeting thoughts and anything else you do not want to forget. Notes save as you type.
- Note Archive — Search previous notes and reopen an earlier day instead of hunting through old chats or scattered documents.
- Writing Streak — See your consecutive note-taking days and build a small, repeatable daily habit.
- AI Note Insights — Ask Expert AI to reflect the key points in your note and break an overwhelming day into small, practical actions.
- Task Extraction — Find open to-dos in a daily note, review the suggestions and choose when to schedule them.
- End-of-Day Review — Get a short reflection on what moved, what stalled and one kind observation, plus a suggested Top 3 for tomorrow.
- Weekly Digest — Summarize a week of notes into wins, recurring blockers, unfinished work and suggested priorities.
- Scheduled Tasks — Schedule prompts and follow-ups, then review what is upcoming, run one immediately, reschedule it or delete it. Scheduled prompts run when you open the app after the scheduled time.
- Task History — See whether a scheduled item is upcoming, due, completed or failed, along with a short result preview where available.
- Save to Notes — Keep a useful assistant response with your daily writing instead of leaving it buried in a conversation.
AI chat, input and answer tools
- AI Chat — Ask questions, brainstorm, explain a topic, summarize material, draft messages and work through everyday decisions in a saved conversation.
- Voice Input — Dictate a message when speaking is quicker than typing; choose a speech-recognition language in settings.
- Read Aloud — Listen to a response with a voice installed on your phone, and adjust the voice and playback speed.
- Photo OCR — Take or choose a photo and extract visible text on the device, making pages, signs, receipts and whiteboards easier to bring into a prompt.
- Image Labels — Detect recognizable objects and scenes on-device to add useful visual context to a question. You decide whether the image itself is sent for AI analysis.
- Research Brief — Use
/researchfor a structured investigation that is instructed to compare sources, separate fact from inference, flag uncertainty and provide a sources section. - Agent Task — Use
/taskwhen you want a multi-step job: get a plan, let the agent work through available tools, and receive a completion and remaining-work summary. - Answer Verification — Use
/verifyto ask for current checking, assumptions, confidence and a recommendation for when to recheck; request another verification of the latest reply when needed. - Draft Critique — Use
/critiqueto examine a draft or answer for assumptions, counterarguments, missing evidence, risks and improvements. - Output Formats — Use
/checklist,/memo,/tableor/studyto ask for a result in a practical, reusable structure. - Meeting Brief — Use
/meetingto shape information into a focused meeting preparation or recap format. - Executive Summary — Use
/executiveto condense longer material into a concise summary for decision-makers. - Plan and Chat Modes — In Code workspaces, switch between
/planand/chatmodes; plan first when a change needs thought, then move into implementation. - Compact Context — Use
/compactin a Code session to ask the agent to condense its conversation context for continued work. - Answer Actions — Copy or share a reply, regenerate it, ask for a shorter, simpler or more detailed version, save it to a note or workspace, schedule a follow-up, or save it as a reusable recipe.
- Response Feedback — Mark a reply helpful or unhelpful, or report a response for review.
- Grounded Tool Activity — See when an answer uses available tools and inspect the tool activity and result state, so you have more visibility into how the assistant reached its response.
- Context Controls — Use
/freshto send only the current turn,/recent Nto limit recent exchanges,/docto include the open document, and/nodocto leave it out. A context-size estimate appears in the composer. - Personal Memory — Review and edit information available across chats, save an update or clear memory from Settings.
Chats, projects and connected files
- Chat History — Return to saved conversations, search across chats, pin important threads and move chats into projects.
- Conversation Branches — Duplicate a conversation into an independent branch to explore a different approach while keeping the original. Branches do not automatically merge.
- Incognito Chat — Start a conversation that is not written to local chat history.
- Biometric Lock — Require your phone’s fingerprint or face unlock when returning to incognito chats or opening the app, depending on your setting.
- Chat Sharing — Share a conversation or daily note through Android’s standard share sheet.
- Project Workspaces — Connect to configured project folders and keep agent sessions organized by workspace.
- File Browser — Browse project files and folders; create, upload, download or delete files and create folders where your connected agent permits it.
- Code Assistant — Ask an agent in a project workspace to inspect files, answer questions, or make code and text changes using the connected tools.
- Diff Review — Inspect proposed file edits and additions or deletions before deciding what to keep.
- Git Controls — Inspect repository changes, stage or unstage files, discard changes, review commit history and diffs, and make commits through the connected workspace.

- Live Preview — Open a preview of a running project when the connected server exposes one.
- Custom Agent Modes — Create and manage named modes with their own model, thinking level, extensions, skills and command-line arguments when supported by your connected agent.
- Agent Servers — Add and manage connections to Expert AI Agent servers; use the QR scanner to pair with a desktop setup.
- GitHub Archives — Connect a GitHub repository, browse text and code files, create or rename files, and review commit history. Repository permissions determine what you can change.
- Document Editing — Open a supported archive file beside the chat, read it as rendered text, edit it directly or ask for a targeted AI edit, then review the result.
- GitHub Commit — Commit a reviewed archive edit to GitHub with a message. The app checks for conflicting changes so you can reopen a newer version if the file changed elsewhere.
- Desktop Mode — Use the paired computer connection for supported remote desktop access and agent workflows from your phone.
- Desktop Handoff — Prepare an active durable job for a paired desktop agent, then select the destination session and give it an instruction to continue. The handoff does not automatically migrate the live transcript.
- Automation Recipes — Save a successful prompt as a reusable, device-local recipe, run it back into the composer later, or delete it in Settings.
Background work, account and controls
- Background Responses — Let supported longer tasks continue after you leave the chat screen, then check their queued, running, paused, completed or failed status.
- Pause and Resume — Pause a durable response and resume it when you are ready.
- Retry Recovery — Retry eligible failed background jobs; the durable request flow is designed to prevent an accidental duplicate paid send.

- Usage Balance — Check your community allowance or paid-plan usage in the account area.
- Google Play Plans — Compare Essential, Pro, Max and Founder plans, weekly or monthly billing, usage allowance and included Expert AI apps before subscribing. Google Play displays the current local offer and manages renewal, cancellation and refunds.

Expert AI brings planning, chat, research, writing, project tools and connected-computer workflows together on Android. Start with a note, a question or one task you have been putting off. Use the community allowance to see how it fits your day, then choose a weekly or monthly plan if you need more usage or access to the other applications included with that tier.

Feature notes: Code, Desktop and GitHub workflows require their respective agent, server, account or archive connections. Scheduled tasks run when you open the app after the scheduled time; durable background jobs are a separate workflow. Research and verification modes guide the assistant but do not guarantee that each answer or citation is correct. Plan prices and offers can change; check the in-app Google Play purchase screen for current terms.
Expert AI on Android: Your AI Workday, Ready When You Are
There is a particular kind of time-wasting that happens in the gaps of a day. You remember an idea while travelling, dictate half a message while walking, promise yourself you will follow up tomorrow, then spend the next morning trying to remember what mattered.
Expert AI is built for those real, slightly messy moments. It brings an AI assistant, a practical daily planner, persistent chats, research and writing workflows, and a bridge to your computer into one Android and Web app.
You can ask a quick question, work through a larger task, capture a thought, or pick up a project from your phone without having to rebuild all your context from scratch.

From “I should remember that” to a plan you can follow
The Daily Notes space gives every day a place of its own. Write a to-do list, keep a journal, collect fragments of an idea, or simply get everything out of your head. Notes save as you type, and earlier notes stay searchable, so a detail from last week does not have to disappear into an endless scroll. A writing streak gives you a small nudge to keep showing up.
Then let Expert AI help with the next step. Ask for AI insights when the page feels overwhelming and get a calm reflection followed by small, concrete actions. Extract tasks to find open to-dos in a note and choose when to schedule them. At the end of the day, get a short review of what moved, what stalled, and a suggested Top 3 for tomorrow. After a few days of notes, the Weekly Digest can gather wins, recurring blockers, unfinished items and suggested priorities in one place. You can share a note through your phone’s share sheet, or save a useful AI reply back into your notes.
This is not another productivity system that expects you to maintain a perfect dashboard. It is a quick place to think, with help turning that thinking into a manageable next action.
Give the routine work a time and a shape
When a prompt belongs to a particular moment, add it to Scheduled Tasks. Set a time for a follow-up, a reminder to revisit a question, or a prompt you want ready for later. Review upcoming items and run history, reschedule or delete a task, or run it immediately.
For longer requests, durable background work lets the response keep running while you leave the screen. Check its status, pause or resume it, cancel it, and retry eligible failures. If the network drops or you reopen the app later, Expert AI can reconcile the job’s status; retries are designed to avoid accidentally sending the same paid request twice. That means fewer “did it send?” moments and less repeating a paid request just because a network hiccup got in the way.
One practical detail: scheduled tasks run when you open Expert AI after their scheduled time. They are not a promise that the app will silently wake up and complete work while it is closed. Durable background jobs are a separate workflow for requests you start and want to leave running.
One chat for quick help; deeper modes for work that needs follow-through
Use chat for the ordinary questions and drafts that fill a day: explain a confusing topic, shape an email, brainstorm options, rewrite a paragraph, or talk through a decision. Add a photo when useful information is on a page, whiteboard or screen. On Android, on-device image analysis can identify text and familiar objects before you decide whether to send the image itself; voice input lets you speak a prompt instead of typing it. You can also have replies read aloud using a voice available on your phone, and adjust the voice and playback speed.
When the task is bigger, Expert AI offers focused ways to ask. Agent Task can take a job through steps and report what is complete. Research Brief asks for a source-backed investigation that compares sources, distinguishes facts from inference and makes uncertainty visible. Verification asks for current checking and stated assumptions. Critique challenges a draft for weak points and missing evidence. You can also ask for checklists, memos, tables, study guides, meeting briefs and executive summaries.
These modes give the assistant a clearer job and make the result easier to inspect. They do not make every answer magically correct. For important decisions, follow the sources and check the claims yourself. A visible activity and tool timeline helps you see when an answer is using tools and what those tools are doing, rather than presenting every result as an unexplained paragraph.
Keep the work, not just the answer
Chats are saved on your device so you can return to earlier conversations, search your history, pin useful chats, and share them. You can branch a conversation to explore a separate direction while preserving the original. Incognito chats are available when you do not want a conversation written to local chat history. You can optionally protect incognito chats—or all chats—with your device’s fingerprint or face unlock.
A helpful reply need not stay buried in a chat. Save it to a daily note or workspace, schedule it as a follow-up, or turn a successful prompt into a reusable recipe stored on your device. Personal memory is editable in Settings: review it, change what is saved, or clear it. Use /fresh when a request should start without earlier chat exchanges, /recent N to limit how much recent chat is included, /doc to include the open document, and /nodoc to exclude it. A context estimate in the composer can help you spot an oversized request before sending.
Move from a phone screen to real project files
Expert AI has three work modes: Chat, Code and Desktop. The Code workspace connects to a configured Expert AI agent/server and lets you work with projects, files, sessions, terminal tasks and file changes from your phone. Review agent edits as diffs, inspect tool activity, and use project previews where they are available. The app can show repositories and open supported files in a document view where you can read, edit and ask the assistant for targeted changes.
For a connected GitHub archive, browse files from the phone, open a document alongside your chat, edit it yourself or ask the assistant to make a focused change, review your edits, and commit them to GitHub when they are ready. The commit is an explicit step, so you can check what changed before it is saved. GitHub connection and archive setup are required for those repository workflows.
If you have paired an Expert AI Agent on a Windows or macOS computer, scan its QR code to connect. From there, the mobile app can reach the paired agent and, when available, open a remote desktop view. A running background job can also be prepared for a guarded handoff to a paired desktop agent; you choose the destination session and continuation instruction. Pairing is required for remote desktop and local-machine workflows.
Know what you are using—and choose what fits
The Android app offers Essential, Pro, Max and Founder subscriptions, with weekly and monthly choices shown in the app. The plan screen displays the current Google Play price, the usage allowance and which Expert AI applications are included; monthly plans are listed with three times the weekly allowance. Pro and higher plans list additional applications such as Terminal and Agent, with Expert OS and Terminal Pro included at higher tiers. Prices and available offers can vary by region, so the price in Google Play at checkout is the one to rely on.
Google Play manages subscription payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds. You can restore purchases or refresh your balance from the plan screen, and manage an active subscription in Google Play. You can first see the available community allowance, then choose a subscription for the usage and cross-app access shown for that tier.
The app currently offers one Unlimited model route rather than asking you to decipher a long list of model names. Expert AI routes requests behind that simple choice. In Code mode, the connected agent has its own model and thinking controls. The account screen shows your usage allowance so you can see where you stand.
Thoughtful controls, in the places you need them
Expert AI gives you controls for incognito chats, biometric unlock, local chat data, personal memory and account deletion. Image text and object analysis uses on-device processing; if you choose to send an image or its extracted content in a chat, that request is sent for AI response generation.
For AI replies, the app discloses that messages are sent to OpenRouter’s AI infrastructure and says they are not used to train models. This is not the same as saying that no service ever processes or stores request data: consult the Privacy Policy for current data-handling and retention details. Settings also includes a service-health check and a support diagnostic report designed to exclude chat content, tokens and private documents.
The interface supports light, dark and system themes, optional notifications and sound, voice language preferences, adjustable read-aloud voices and speeds, and haptic feedback. Sign in with an email verification code, then pick up where you left off.
A good first five minutes
Install Expert AI, open Daily Notes and write down what is taking up space in your head. Try AI insights for a gentle first pass, then Extract tasks to turn clear next steps into a schedule. Open chat for a quick draft or question; use Research Brief when you want a structured investigation, or Agent Task when you want the assistant to work through a concrete job. If you have connected a project or GitHub archive, bring one real file into the conversation and ask for a small, reviewable improvement.
The goal is not to add another app to manage. It is to give your ideas somewhere to land, your questions a useful place to go, and your next action a better chance of actually happening.
Ready to make room for the work that matters? Download Expert AI on Google Play, try it with the community allowance, and choose the weekly or monthly plan that fits your workload when you are ready for more.
