Expert AI Terminal & Automation
Expert AI Terminal and all associated tools are provided on an "as-is" basis. As these tools involve experimental frontier technologies, users are solely responsible for testing and validating any automated workflows within their own environments. We advocate for a "human-in-the-loop" approach for all professional AEC and software applications.

No Professional Advice
The information shared—including architectural strategies, AI research, and development roadmaps—does not constitute formal professional, legal, or architectural advice. Users should perform their own due diligence before integrating these methodologies into commercial or critical infrastructure projects.

Liability

Expert AI Terminal Pro

A portable, agentic research-and-development lab on a USB drive — 5 agents, 33 tools, 200+ frontier models, persistent memory, and honest provenance baked in.

Not another LLM wrapper

An end-to-end environment that turns a language model into a disciplined, reproducible engineering team.

🧑‍🔬

Multi-agent orchestration

Spin up specialist sub-agents — researcher, reviewer, writer, verifier, architect — collaborating in one session.

🔎

Deep-research pipelines

Locate, retrieve, annotate and synthesize dozens of papers with automatic provenance and BibTeX.

🛡️

Provenance baked in

Every output records exactly which sources were consulted and their status: verified, unverified, or blocked.

📝

Paper-style writing

Raw notes to LaTeX-ready sections, figures and equations — with adversarial peer-review before delivery.

🗂️

Obsidian-native

One command drops a polished, cross-linked Markdown file straight into your vault.

🧠

Persistent memory

Remembers lessons and context across sessions — a research assistant that recalls what you taught it weeks ago.

⚙️

File-system aware

Read local files, run code in isolated containers, spawn long-running background jobs and iterate.

🔒

Safety-first runtime

Each sub-agent runs in its own worktree with capped resources and automatic cleanup.

Complete capability map

The full arsenal — from discovery to delivery.

🔬

Research & Discovery

Deep research, literature review, arXiv/alphaXiv search, paper Q&A, code audits, multi-provider web search, URL & YouTube extraction.

📄

Document & Data

Parse PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, CSV & images with OCR. Zotero citations. Obsidian FTS5 search & writing.

📊

Visualization

Vega-Lite charts — bar, line, area, arc, boxplot, heatmap, faceted & layered — rendered as PNG.

🤖

Agent Orchestration

5 built-in subagents, single / chain / parallel runs, custom agents, forked context, adversarial review.

💻

Code & Compute

Bash execution, Docker sandboxing, Modal & RunPod GPU compute, autonomous experiment loops, replication.

✍️

Writing & Delivery

Paper writing, ELI5, peer-review simulation, browser preview/export, provenance sidecars.

🧠

Memory & Continuity

Persistent facts, session search & logging, changelog, scheduled prompts, long-running Ralph loops.

🎯

Design Principles

Local-first, USB-portable, zero unconsented telemetry, 200+ switchable models, honest provenance.

Get started

Run it from the Expert AI Terminal Port on your drive.

1 · Allow the app (macOS)

Make the launcher executable:

chmod +x "Expert-AI-Terminal.command"

2 · Enter the directory

Windows uses the .bat launcher; portable/USB uses Node directly:

cd /Volumes/AI/Expert-AI-Terminal\ -\ Portable node bin/expert-ai-terminal.js model list

3 · Log in to a provider

Pick a backend from the catalog:

.\Expert-AI-Terminal.bat model login .\Expert-AI-Terminal.bat model login openrouter

4 · Alias it (optional)

Add to ~/.zshrc, then source ~/.zshrc to run from anywhere:

alias expert-ai-terminal="node /Volumes/AI/Expert-AI-Terminal\ -\ Portable/bin/expert-ai-terminal.js"

How to ask — the AEC knowledge base

Over 10,000 curated AEC documents: NBC 2016, IS codes, IBC, Eurocode, frontier research and the full B.Arch / M.Arch curriculum. Works the same via the AEC connector and /r in the terminal.

The one rule: the knowledge base searches the documents' own words. Phrase your question the way the source would — Ctrl+F for "coastal" misses a chapter that says "very severe exposure".

Ask like a heading, not a conversation

✗ can you tell me how buildings stay cool in hot places?
✓ passive cooling strategies hot-dry climate courtyard ventilation
✗ what's the rule for stair width?
✓ NBC 2016 minimum staircase width for residential buildings

Speak the code's vocabulary

You'd say on siteThe code says
exit / escape routemeans of escape, travel distance
coastal / near the seasevere / very severe exposure
concrete covernominal cover to reinforcement
FSI / FARfloor area ratio
setbackopen spaces
earthquake designseismic, zone factor
Know a clause or table number? Say it. The strongest query there is — NBC 2016 Table 16 nominal cover durability lands on the exact spot every time. And a "no matching documents" miss never costs a credit.

200+ switchable models

Frontier American, European and Chinese models — pick per task, or let the router choose.

openrouter/free

Auto-routes your prompt to the fastest available free models — lower rate limits, more usage time.

🚀

openrouter/auto

Auto-routes to the best and fastest paid model available for your prompt.
